AI Strategy and Roadmap for Claude Enterprise Rollouts

A focused 2 to 3 week consulting engagement that produces an executive presentation, a 25 to 40 page strategy document, a 12-month migration map, a role-by-role training curriculum, and a build catalogue. The strategy is yours to act on, with us or with your own team.

In summary

Softblues is a London-based AI consultancy and Anthropic Claude Partner Network applicant that runs the AI Strategy and Roadmap engagement: a focused 2 to 3 week consulting phase for UK and Ireland businesses planning a Claude Enterprise rollout. The engagement combines leadership workshops, departmental interviews, technical and compliance review, and a shadow AI audit, producing five deliverables: an executive presentation, a 25 to 40 page strategy document, a 12-month migration map, a role-specific training curriculum, and a build catalogue with effort estimates.

Who is the AI Strategy and Roadmap engagement built for?

Three types of company: those curious about AI but unfocused on where to start, those already experimenting informally and needing to consolidate, and those preparing a credible AI strategy for the next board cycle.

Curious but unfocused

Your leadership wants to do something with AI but the team cannot agree on where to start. You need a structured plan, not another vendor pitch.

Already experimenting

Teams are using ChatGPT and free Claude informally. Some are paying for personal Pro accounts. You need to consolidate before something goes wrong.

Planning a board ask

You need a credible AI strategy and budget request for the next board cycle. You want a defensible plan with realistic timelines and outcomes.

Sounds like you? Let's talk about your situation.

What does Softblues do in those 2 to 3 weeks?

Three weeks of structured work. Week 1 is discovery: leadership workshops, 6 to 8 departmental interviews, a technical and compliance review, and a shadow AI audit. Week 2 is analysis: use case prioritisation, build versus buy mapping, and risk and compliance gaps. Week 3 is synthesis: migration map, training plan, build catalogue, and final readout.

Three-week AI Strategy and Roadmap timeline. Week 1 Discovery: leadership kickoff, departmental interviews, technical interview, shadow AI audit, document review. Week 2 Analysis: AI maturity snapshot, use case prioritisation, build versus buy mapping, risk and compliance, platform recommendation. Week 3 Synthesis: 12-month migration map, training plan, build catalogue, 90-day quick wins, final readout.

What do you take away from the engagement?

Five tangible deliverables: an executive presentation, a written strategy document, a 12-month migration map, a training curriculum, and a build catalogue. All five are designed to be valuable on their own, whether or not you continue with Softblues for deployment.

Five deliverables from the AI Strategy and Roadmap engagement: executive presentation of 15 to 20 slides for board approval, 25 to 40 page strategy document, 12-month migration map with sequenced rollout, role-specific training curriculum with champion programme, and build catalogue with effort estimates for every custom agent, MCP server, Skill, and integration.

See sample deliverables and the buyer's guide before you book.

Why is the strategy worth doing even if you do not continue with Softblues?

The build catalogue alone is reusable across any vendor. The migration map is a board-ready plan. The training curriculum can be delivered internally or contracted out. The strategy is yours, whatever you do next.

Most clients move from strategy directly into deployment with Softblues. Some do not. They take the strategy and run it with their own team. They use the build catalogue to engage other vendors. They use the migration map to convince their board of a different approach entirely. That is fine.

The engagement is not designed to lock you into the rest of the programme. It is designed to produce a strategy you would be glad to have whether you continue with Softblues or not. The continuation rate is high, but it is high because the strategy shows exactly what we would build, not because you are trapped.

Discuss your situation with no pressure to continue.

How does Softblues run the discovery workshops?

Not as a "tell us what you need" exercise. We come prepared with a framework, specific questions per department, and a working hypothesis we test and refine. The interviews are designed to be useful to the interviewee, not just data collection for us.

  1. 1

    Pre-engagement prep

We review your public information, tech stack signals, and any documentation you share in advance.

  2. 2

    Kickoff workshop

Leadership alignment on vision, goals, constraints. Often the first time the leadership team has agreed on what AI should do for the company.

  3. 3

    Departmental interviews

45-minute structured conversations with each department head and one or two operators. We surface real workflows, real pain points, and the AI opportunities that map cleanly.

  4. 4

    Technical and compliance review

Stack audit, integration scoping, governance gap analysis with the IT and compliance leads.

  5. 5

    Synthesis workshop

Mid-engagement session to share what we are hearing and stress-test our emerging recommendations before we finalise.

By the time we present the final strategy, your leadership has been part of building it. The recommendations do not surprise anyone. The roadmap is yours to own. For more on what comes next, see our Phase 2: Claude Deployment and Activation and Phase 3: Continuous AI Partnership pages.

Where is the AI Strategy and Roadmap not the right fit?

If you have already completed an AI strategy elsewhere and want to go straight to deployment, skip Phase 1 and go to Phase 2. If your need is exclusively image generation, a Claude strategy is the wrong starting point. If you are already running Claude Enterprise and need ongoing builds rather than a fresh strategy, Phase 3 Continuous Partnership is the right entry point.

We are honest about fit. Softblues does not run AI strategy engagements for companies that have already decided on a deployment path. We do not run multi-month consulting engagements where 2 to 3 weeks is what is needed. We do not push the Claude platform on companies whose use case clearly sits elsewhere.

Common questions about the AI Strategy and Roadmap engagement

How much does the AI Strategy and Roadmap engagement cost?

Softblues prices the engagement as a fixed fee scoped to your company size and complexity. We share a tailored quote on a 20-minute discovery call. The phase is designed to be a low-commitment entry: the deliverables are valuable on their own, so the engagement justifies its cost even if you do not continue to deployment.

Do we have to continue to Phase 2 with Softblues?

No. Phase 1 produces a strategy you can run with your own team, brief other vendors against, or bring back to Softblues for delivery. Most clients continue with Softblues because the build catalogue shows exactly what we would deliver, but there is no obligation.

Who do you interview during discovery?

Typically the leadership team, the heads of each function relevant to the AI rollout (sales, marketing, finance, HR, operations, knowledge management, legal and compliance), and your IT or technology lead. For focused engagements this is 6 to 8 interviews. For company-wide rollouts, 10 to 15. We design the interview list with you during kickoff.

How long is the strategy document?

Typically 25 to 40 pages. It is structured to be readable end to end by leadership, with appendices and detailed sections for the operators who own implementation.

What if our strategy needs Gemini or Copilot, not Claude?

Softblues is a Google Cloud Partner, has Microsoft expertise, and works alongside our Anthropic specialism. If the discovery shows your stack and use cases fit Gemini or Copilot better, the strategy will say so. We will not push Claude where it does not fit. That said, for the UK and Ireland businesses we work with, Claude is usually the right answer, and the strategy will explain why.

How is Phase 1 different from a free discovery call?

A discovery call is free and lasts 20 to 30 minutes, useful for both sides to see if there is a fit. Phase 1 is a structured 2 to 3 week engagement that produces five real deliverables. The discovery call helps decide if Phase 1 is right for you.
