Phase 1 ยท 2 to 3 weeks

AI Strategy and Roadmap for Claude Enterprise rollouts

A 2 to 3 week engagement that produces an executive presentation, a 25 to 40 page strategy document, a 12-month migration map, a role-by-role training curriculum and a build catalogue. We run six of our own departments on Claude, so the plan comes from people who have done the rollout, not just advised on it. The strategy is yours to act on, with us or with your own team.

Why a strategy first

Why start with strategy, not deployment?

The companies that get AI right start with a plan. The ones that stall skip it. Three reasons Phase 1 comes first.

A plan is what gets AI into production.

Most AI projects stall before they reach production, and the ones that make it started with a clear plan: the use cases, the platform, the budget and who owns it. Phase 1 produces that plan.

The wrong platform is expensive to undo.

Choosing Claude, Gemini or Copilot without a structured assessment can cost months of remediation later. The strategy gets that decision right before any rollout begins.

Shadow AI is already happening.

In most companies, people are already using personal ChatGPT and free Claude on confidential data. The strategy surfaces it and turns informal use into deliberate, governed adoption.

What you take away

What you take away

Five deliverables, grouped into three outcomes. Each one is useful on its own, whether or not you continue with us.

The five Phase 1 deliverables: executive deck, strategy document, 12-month migration map, training curriculum and build catalogue.
Leadership materials

Executive presentation

15 to 20 slides for leadership and the board: vision, current state, the recommendation, the 12-month roadmap and the ask.

Strategy document

25 to 40 pages: current state, target state, use-case inventory, platform decisions, governance and adoption.

Rollout plan

12-month migration map and build catalogue

A sequenced rollout across months 1 to 3, 4 to 6 and 7 to 12, with dependencies and review checkpoints. Paired with a full catalogue of every custom agent, MCP server, Skill and integration we would recommend, each with an effort estimate. Use it to scope work with us or any vendor.

A 12-month migration map in three stages: months 1 to 3 quick wins, months 4 to 6 scale across teams, months 7 to 12 embed and govern.
People and adoption

Training curriculum

Role-specific paths for leadership, managers, individual contributors and engineers. A champion programme and adoption tracking.

Common questions about the AI Strategy and Roadmap engagement

How much does the engagement cost?

It is a fixed fee, scoped to your company size and complexity. We share a tailored quote on a 20-minute discovery call. Phase 1 is a low-commitment entry: the deliverables stand on their own, so the engagement earns its cost even if you do not continue to deployment.

Do we have to continue to Phase 2 with Softblues?

No. Phase 1 produces a strategy you can run with your own team, brief other vendors against, or bring back to us for delivery. Most clients continue with us because the build catalogue shows exactly what we would deliver, but there is no obligation.

Who do you interview during discovery?

Usually the leadership team, the heads of the functions relevant to the rollout (sales, marketing, finance, HR, operations, knowledge management, legal and compliance), and your IT or technology lead. Focused engagements run 6 to 8 interviews; company-wide rollouts run 10 to 15. We design the list with you at kickoff.

How long is the strategy document?

Usually 25 to 40 pages. It reads end to end for leadership, with appendices and detailed sections for the people who own implementation.

What if our strategy needs Gemini or Copilot, not Claude?

Softblues is a Google Cloud Partner with hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Claude, Gemini, GPT and Copilot. If the discovery shows your stack and use cases fit Gemini or Copilot better, the strategy will say so. We will not recommend Claude where it does not fit. For most of the mid-market companies we work with, Claude is the right answer, and the strategy explains why.

How is Phase 1 different from a free discovery call?

The discovery call is free and runs 20 to 30 minutes, enough for both sides to see if there is a fit. Phase 1 is a structured 2 to 3 week engagement that produces five real deliverables. The call helps you decide whether Phase 1 is worth doing.
