Claude adoption · corporate finance
A regulated firm put Claude in front of every team, then taught them how to use it.
Key Capital's company-wide Claude rollout
Key Capital is an Irish corporate finance and investment management firm. Softblues ran the discovery and licensing fit, configured Claude inside the firm’s existing Microsoft 365 environment, and led nine weekly training sessions. The rollout went live in April 2026.

The short version
What happened at Key Capital?#
Key Capital is a corporate finance and investment management firm based in Ireland, serving clients in Ireland and Britain. In April 2026 it moved the whole company onto Claude. Softblues was its design, enablement and implementation partner for that rollout, and this page is the record of the work.
There were two halves to it. We configured Claude inside the firm’s existing Microsoft 365 environment, working alongside their IT provider and their data protection team. Then we designed and ran an upskilling programme: nine weekly sessions, written for corporate finance, built on practice rather than theory.
The starting point
What did the firm need to change?#
Key Capital serves high-value clients in a regulated industry. Its relationships are managed closely and personally, and that is what clients stay for. The firm wanted to grow without giving that up.
Generative AI looked like the way to do both, and internally the question had already moved from whether to adopt it to how. That is the harder half. It means choosing a platform, getting it into an existing tool estate, and getting people to use it once it is there. Key Capital asked Softblues to help with all three. If you are at the same point, our Claude buyer’s guide covers the licensing and security questions that usually come first.
The platform decision
Why was Claude chosen for this rollout?
Key Capital ran its own comparison before committing to anything. Four considerations decided it. They are this firm’s criteria in this firm’s situation, and they are not a general ranking of AI platforms.
Writing in their own voice
Relationship managers write to high net worth clients in a personal style, and keeping each of them writing in their own voice was one of the firm’s selection criteria. Across the platforms they tried, staff were unanimous that Claude held an individual voice best.
How client data is handled
They work in a regulated industry, so they needed to be satisfied that the provider would keep client data safe and would not learn from it. Anthropic’s position on that satisfied them.
Connectors they already had
Funding bespoke integrations was not on the table. They were looking for a platform that already reached the systems and data their workflows depend on, rather than one that would need building out first.
Research and analysis
They wanted research, investment reporting and financial modelling to move faster, so that data turns into a decision quickly when markets are volatile.
The implementation
What did Softblues put in place?
- 1
Discovery and licensing fit
We started with the firm’s regulatory position and what it meant for the licence, which pointed to Claude Enterprise. Alongside that we mapped the current tool stack, Microsoft 365 and the CRM included, to find the points where Claude would need to connect.
- 2
Single sign-on
We provisioned single sign-on for authentication, working with the firm’s IT provider. Staff reach Claude with the credentials they already have, rather than a new set issued for it.
- 3
The Microsoft 365 connector
We configured the connector so Claude can read from a user’s own Microsoft 365 account. A question asked in Claude is answered against the documents and mail that person already works in.
- 4
Access permissions and governance boundaries
We set these together with Key Capital’s IT provider and their data protection team, rather than configuring them alone and handing the result over.
- 5
Admin console and connector testing
Admin console setup came next, then reliability testing on the connector. Both came before the wider rollout.
- 6
Company-wide rollout
Claude went out across the firm in April 2026.
Enablement
How were staff supported?#
Two organisations did this part.
Key Capital wrote its own acceptable-use policy. The firm explained why it was making the change and set out what it expected of its teams. That came from the client rather than from us.
Softblues designed and led the upskilling programme. The content was written for their industry instead of lifted from a general curriculum, and each session paired demonstrations with individual exercises, so the format was practice rather than theory. Nine weekly sessions in total.
We run our own company on Claude as well, written up in the Softblues Claude operating system.
What this is evidence of
What does this case demonstrate?#
What is documented here is the work: the discovery and licensing decision, the configuration inside Microsoft 365 alongside the client’s IT provider and data protection team, and nine weeks of sessions.
This case describes the rollout and training delivered. It does not report measured time savings, cost savings or financial return.
A figure worth printing needs a baseline taken before the change, a defined period, a named owner inside the client, a source anyone can re-run, and an agreed route for turning the result into something the business banks. Hours released are capacity until a firm decides what the freed time is for, and that decision belongs to the client. We set out how we build that case before the work starts in the AI business case method.
The wider picture, from finding the work worth changing through to the monthly review that follows a rollout, is set out in AI adoption.
